The 2025 Crew Conference hosted by Mercury Maritime Enterprises Co. S.A., in collaboration with ELWIN Crew Management, was successfully conducted as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance crew engagement, compliance, and operational alignment.

The conference provided an opportunity for seafarers and office personnel to connect, align on standards, and strengthen collaboration. Key members of the Mercury office team Mr. Constantine Manoussakis, Crew Manager, and Capt. Eleftherios Markantonis, Head of Operations welcomed participants and presented critical updates on crew management practices, operational protocols, and performance expectations.

Adding depth to the program were presentations from Mercury’s valued external partners. Engr. Alex Villamante, President of ELWIN Crew Management, delivered a keynote address emphasizing the role of Filipino seafarers in global shipping and the importance of structured crew development. From the medical sector, Dr. Dimaculangan, Dr. Mae, and Dr. Czarina of HealthPlus addressed health monitoring, mental wellness, and pre-employment medical procedures.

Legal and welfare matters were comprehensively tackled by Atty. Denise Cabanos and Dr. Edgardo Del Rosario of Del Rosario & Associates, who emphasized the protection of seafarers’ rights, the relevance of maritime legal frameworks, and updates on international labor regulations. Financial guidance was also provided by Tanaka-san from MarcoPay, who presented cash advance options and financial services tailored to the seafaring community.

The conference promoted an interactive environment, with printed materials distributed to encourage active participation. Attendees were urged to take notes, ask questions, and engage directly with speakers to maximize the learning experience.
