The latest event comes amid continued security concerns in the waters surrounding Yemen, where merchant vessels have faced various threats in recent years, including armed approaches, piracy-related incidents, and attacks linked to regional conflicts. Maritime security agencies continue to advise vessels operating in the area to maintain heightened vigilance and follow established security procedures while transiting high-risk waters.
