Ukrainian Drone Strike Hits Tuapse Port, One Dead, Oil Facilities Damaged

A Ukrainian drone attack struck the Russian Black Sea port of Tuapse, killing at least one person and injuring another, according to local officials. The incident caused fires and damage to key port and oil infrastructure, raising concerns over safety and operations in the area.

The attack targeted a major export hub used for oil and bulk cargo shipments. Reports said the strike ignited fires in oil storage areas and affected transport facilities inside the port. Authorities confirmed that debris from the drones also damaged nearby buildings, including residential areas and public structures.

This is not the first time Tuapse has been hit. A similar drone attack days earlier already caused disruption, forcing parts of the port and nearby refinery operations to slow down or stop. Industry sources said the repeated strikes are now affecting the movement of oil products, as the port plays a key role in exporting fuel such as diesel and other refined products.

Russian officials claimed that air defense systems intercepted multiple drones during the attack, but some still managed to reach their targets. The scale of the assault shows a growing trend of Ukraine focusing on energy and port infrastructure, aiming to weaken supply chains and export capacity.
