A general cargo vessel operating in the Caspian Sea sank after encountering difficulties during its voyage, but all crew members were rescued without injury, authorities confirmed.

The vessel issued a distress alert while navigating waters off the Turkmenistan coast. Emergency response units were promptly deployed, coordinating a rescue operation in line with international maritime safety procedures. All personnel on board were successfully evacuated before the ship submerged.

Officials stated that the crew consisted of multiple nationalities and were transferred to a safe location for medical checks and further assistance. No injuries were reported, and the rescue was completed efficiently despite challenging conditions at sea.

Following the evacuation, the cargo vessel eventually sank. The cause of the incident has not yet been determined, and relevant maritime authorities have launched an investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the sinking, including weather conditions, technical issues, or possible structural failure.

No immediate reports of pollution or environmental damage have been released. Authorities continue to monitor the area as part of standard post-incident procedures.

The incident highlights the importance of rapid response coordination and adherence to maritime safety protocols, which played a key role in ensuring the safe recovery of all crew members.
