PASAY CITY — Filipino seafarers and overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) arriving in the country are set to experience a significantly faster and more convenient homecoming, following improvements in immigration processing and passenger facilities at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.

Based on a recent update shared of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the immigration clearance process has been streamlined to as fast as approximately 20 seconds per passenger, a development expected to greatly benefit returning OFWs and seafarers who often endure long travel hours before arriving home.

The improved system is part of the government’s broader efforts to enhance airport efficiency and passenger experience, particularly for migrant workers who play a critical role in the Philippine economy. Faster immigration processing reduces congestion, minimizes waiting time, and allows returning workers to reunite with their families sooner.

Alongside the faster clearance process, upgraded facilities and improved services at NAIA Terminal 3 have been put in place to ensure a more comfortable and orderly arrival experience. These enhancements aim to support not only Filipino workers returning home but also international tourists visiting the Philippines.

The developments were highlighted during activities at NAIA Terminal 3 in Pasay City on 16 December 2025.
