MANILA, Philippines – In celebration of the International Day for Women in Maritime, the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) is holding a special forum today, 16 May 2025, at the MARINA Central Office with the theme “An Ocean of Opportunities for Women.”

The event gathers women leaders and experts from across the maritime industry to discuss key issues surrounding inclusivity, access to education, and the empowerment of women in maritime careers. The forum aims to strengthen gender diversity within the sector and inspire more women to pursue opportunities in both sea-based and shore-based maritime roles.

This initiative is part of MARINA’s ongoing commitment to supporting a more equitable and inclusive maritime workforce in line with international standards and the goals of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
