The Inter Maritime Group gathered its Philippine subsidiaries for the first-ever joint year-end celebration at The Manila Hotel’s iconic Fiesta Pavilion. The event brought together executives, maritime professionals, and industry partners representing the group’s three local entities: INC Navigation Company Philippines, Intership Crew Philippines, and the Intership Navigation Training Center, Inc.

Executives highlighted the importance of collaboration as the maritime sector continues to navigate digitalization, global sustainability standards, and evolving workforce demands. The program underscored the group’s commitment to developing Filipino maritime talent through continuous training, crew management support, and long-term career development.

A major highlight of the night was the long-service awards, honoring seafarers and crew members who have dedicated 20 and 30 years to the company. A raffle segment added excitement to the evening, while land-based employees showcased their creativity through performances ranging from vocal numbers to dance acts.

During the program, the group also announced the upcoming relocation of its Philippine headquarters to a new office in Parañaque City, targeted for the first quarter of 2026. The move is expected to improve operational efficiency and support the organization’s expansion.

The celebration concluded with a lively after-party, with a DJ spinning both contemporary and classic hits—capping the evening with a perfect mix of recognition, gratitude, and camaraderie across the maritime community.

During the high-level gathering, the IMO confirmed that Phase 2 of the comprehensive review of the STCW Convention will begin in the coming weeks. The next stage of the review will focus on specific amendments to ensure the Convention remains responsive to the accelerating transformation of the maritime sector — particularly in areas such as decarbonization, artificial intelligence, automation, and expanded digital systems onboard ships.
